Thanks for responding. I'm also 66 and always ask men I'm considering dating who's their closest friend. I ask men about their friendships. If they don't have any, I know it's a potential problem.
I also won't date men around my age who have young children— mine are in their 20s and I am done mommying—and many men around my age are like you, what we used to call "do-over dads." Teens would be fine, but not younger.
One way to have love, sex and companionship at our age is to live apart together. Too many older men prefer a live-in romantic partner and many older women say, nope!
