Thanks for reading and writing, James. You are absolutely right, so I have discovered from my research on the book I’m writing that (greatly) expands on the ideas of this column. I was surprised to learn that bisexual women (my book’s focus is on women, not men) are among the most marginalized of LGB people when making friends.

I don’t know what the answer is (I like the idea of intentional communities with neighbors of all ages, races, religions, abilities, identities, etc.) although the world might be a better place if we could befriend people who could broaden our worldview. Stay safe!
