True, we are not although I see nannies in my neighborhood so clearly, people have created bubbles that include caregivers. And many here and across the country are talking about hiring educators for micro-pods for the fall as schools are most likely opening online.

That said, we won’t be in a pandemic lockdown forever (hopefully!) But caregiving — of our children, disabled, elderly, ill, etc. — will always be with us. We need to think, how can we do things better?

If we set up the structure now, we can create a more caring future for all of us. That is a future I would like to see.
