Thanks for reading and responding, Samantha. To be clear, I am not saying the answer to “the misogynistic idea that women become useless and invisible after their fertility expires” is to extend fertility. I am saying that no one can continue to use fertility as a marker, and they never should have used it as a marker. But they did.

The book I’m working on is all about changing the narrative; that said, we have to first address the narratives we have been presented with and have all too often internalized.

To me, the way to change the narrative is to present all the reasons why the narrative no longer fits into who we are and how we live today.
