Thanks for reading and responding. Throughout history, husbands and wives, the wealthy ones especially, had their own bedrooms. Throughout cultures, husbands and wives often lived apart because they had to go where there was work. Today, women from many South American islands and the Philippines leave their husbands and children to work in America to support their family. Couples with military members live apart for long stretches of time, months and years.

Marriage doesn’t look one way — it looks as many ways as the couples make it work for them. You are very free to fashion your marriage the way you want it, but you will not be “right” or “wrong” — just right for you.
