Hi Zoey,

I no longer have access to full the study so I can't see the race of the 100 men and women interviewed. I found one study about the dating experiences of older Black women, but it didn't address the same questions. It did note that they found intimate relationships as being more fulfilling than the parent-child relationship, and that the latter limited their ability to express the intimate

feelings they would have expressed to a partner. They also preferred to not live with a romantic partner because they didn't want to give up their freedom and independence. And if they had children & grandchildren, they were more wary of male gold diggers than women who did not have children.

Hope that helps.
