Hi Sonya. Thanks for reading and writing. I’m not really sure but a quick Google search seems to indicate that the Eurocentric view of beauty holds court everywhere — Asian women seek to whiten their skin, Black women with lighter skin and more delicate features are prized over darker skin, etc. Some cultures equate bigger bodies with wealth and status, other cultures revere older people. It will be interesting to see what people think about aging when the world is overwhelmingly older, which it will be in the next decade. Hopefully, that will lead to a mind shift!
