Great point. You are very right.

No doubt the type of femininity the women I quote here, who are all White, are talking about feminine White women. It’s important to include marginalized women’s perspective. I do that in my book because women of color experience ageism, sexism and racism (and maybe a few more isms), and that affects how they age.
