Thanks for reading and writing.

I don’t see it as a “need” as much as a desire to bust the narrative that older women aren’t sexy, desirable, etc., etc. And maybe there’s some ego in there, but that’s no different than people who post their “perfect” vacations, “perfect family,” “perfect” home, etc. Social media is generally about self-promotion.

I would never post a photo of me in lingerie online — I don’t even post selfies (who looks good in them? Not me!) That said, I do promote my writing.

I don’t judge women who want to present themselves that way. It doesn’t upset me. I’m more curious about why couples need to wish each other happy anniversary online, post “date night” photos, feel a need to document every single thing their child does, etc. It’s a strange new world.
